I have no idea why there are 4 followers here before I write anything? Anyway, I will begin to write something in English at tumblr, mostly because I want to practice my English writing skill.
Few weeks ago, I asked my good friend, Roy, who is a professional English teacher (One proverb says “Go away! Let professional handle!”). Could he help me speak English well? I’m confident in my reading ability (at least for computer technical articles), but I have trouble communicating with native English people directly. One reason is that I listen too seldom, and another reason I think is because my English pronunciation is bad.
For example, I can not distinguish “beat”, “bit”, “bait”, “bet”, “bat”, “baht”, “bought”, “boat”, “book”, “boot”, “but”, “burn” well. There are many times that I said some words, but the listener can not understand what I’m talking about. It’s so embarrassed.
Today is our first lesson, my textbook is “Improve Your American English Accent”. We will process session by session every week. My teacher also recommends me listening ESL podcast everyday, which is more suitable for me now.
I swore many times to practice English every single day. Hope this time, I will last longer :)
